Peer Engagement Virtual Groups

We know all too well the isolation and overwhelm that is associated with having CF. We offer video-based peer engagement groups to offer a place of support, encouragement and friendship in the following categories.

LADIES NIGHT

"Ladies Night is a group for anybody with CF who identifies as a woman to come together to support one another in our journeys. If you're a mother, thinking about having kids, dating, balancing modulators and hormones, or just want to vent about balancing your physical and mental health with the triumphs and challenges of being a woman - this is for you. SOLID GROUND- A WOMAN’S PRAYER AND BIBLE STUDY GROUP

Alma has been with us for over two and a half years. We are so lucky to have her as a part of our AH family. She sees everything with hope and possibility. Her faith is a constant companion in her CF journey, inspiring those to see the beauty in each perfect and imperfect moment. Her group is “Solid Ground, a place to encourage each other, love on each other and grow our faith in Christ together!”
Young Adult Group
Facilitator: Emma Chenier, College student living with CF
Monday 5:00MT/7:00 ET
Emma has been with us since the very first day of Attain, she is undoubtably the youngest and most impressive member of the family. There are very few individuals who have impressed me as much as this gal! She joined our adult coaching group at age 16, she reached every one of her goals, including a triathlon. She is insanely busy right now killing it in college, but when she can, she shares her unwavering dedication to her health, inspiring our young community.
LGBTQ & Two Spirit Social Hour
Facilitator: Devin Wakefield, Software Engineer and adult living with CF
1st & 3rd Saturday of each month
10:30am PT/ 1:30pm ET
Devin Wakefield is 29 years old with cystic fibrosis. His family found out he had CF right away due to his bowel obstruction at birth, and found out he was gay during spring break of his freshman year of college. Devin enjoys hiking, thinking about topless and pantless men, knitting, exercising, and applying beard oil to his newly grown covid beard.
